City of Fort Wayne Selects SES
as US EPA Brownfield Project Consultant

Fort Wayne, Ind. -
Recently, the U.S. EPA selected the City of Fort Wayne
as a recipient of two (2) Brownfield Assessment Grants.
One grant addresses sites potentially impacted by
petroleum and the other grant will evaluate sites
suspected of hazardous substances contamination. Each
grant is in the amount of $200,000.
SES was
chosen to conduct the inventory and site assessments for
petroleum-related sites. This environmental consulting
firm worked with the City on the 2007-2010 EPA
Brownfields Petroleum Assessment Grant. The newly
awarded 2011-2014 EPA Brownfields Petroleum Assessment
Grant will allow SES Environmental to expand the
brownfield investigations they started under the prior
grant.
Hungarian Facility
Selects SES to Conduct Audit Water Program

Hungary - An industrial manufacturing facility in
Southwest Hungary recently selected SES to conduct a
Water Preservation & Pollution Prevention Program (WP4)
Assessment. "This is SES' first Hungarian
business partnership, and we look forward to sharing
this sustainable auditing process with this region of
the world," commented Bob Kahle, vice president of
global water engineering services.
SES Grant Writing
Effort Results in $400K Brownfields Assessment Grant for
the City of Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne, Indiana - The City of Fort Wayne was awarded
two grants totaling $400K to inventory and assess
brownfield properties, as a result of the collaborative
grant writing efforts of SES staff and the City of Fort
Wayne Redevelopment Department.

Columbia City, Indiana - The Indiana Finance Authority
recently approved grant funding for Fort Wayne Metals
Research Products Corporation for the former Fort Wayne
Foundry site located in Columbia City, Indiana.
This grant is structured to assist with the
redevelopment of sites affected by the downsizing in the
automotive sector. SES is proud to be a part of
this excellent example of brownfield rehabilitation, and
looks forward to seeing the results of this economic

Food Drive - SES Donates to University of Saint Francis's
"USF Feeds the Fort" 2010 Campaign

Fort Wayne, Indiana - The University of Saint Francis
hosted a food drive in an
effort to support Fort Wayne's food banks and soup
kitchens. SES employees collected approximately
500 pounds of food in support of Saint Francis' efforts.

Compliance Team Welcomes Certified Industrial Hygienist
(CIH) and Staff Consultant
SES welcomes Andrew Boester, CIH and Bryan Smith to its
Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Team!
Andrew joins SES as a Senior Project Manager with 9
years experience as a professional consultant.
Andrew's principle areas of expertise are assisting
industrial clients with recognizing workplace hazards,
assessing potential risk and exposures, evaluating
safeguards, and developing hazard management programs.
Bryan Smith joins SES as a Staff Consultant. Bryan
has worked with industrial clients across the country
and specializes in workplace surveys, quantifying hazard
exposure using specialized instrumentation, conducting
multi-media sampling, and assessing indoor air quality.
SES Indianpolis Office Relocates and Adds Expanded EHS
Training Area
The SES Indianapolis office recently relocated to
Hawthorn Park Drive. The new facility features an
expanded training area for regional OSHA and
environmental compliance classes. The new office
will be managed by James Uptgraft, Director of Safety
and Compliance Services.

Presentations from SES VP of Industrial Compliance and

Larry Reynolds, Vice President of Industrial Compliance,

David Nystuen will deliver a presentation on

SES congratulates the Fort Wayne Due Diligence Team
for an outstanding effort in the completion of a
Phase I ESA in 48 hours for a last minute real
estate closing. The project site was a plastic
extrusion facility in Youngstown, Ohio.

analysis project for a large manufacturing facility in
Campinas, Brazil. The project will assist the
company with eliminating wastewater discharge
exceedences, thus improving overall water quality.

Fort Wayne, Indiana - SES's Wetland staff received
wetland exemption approval from the Indiana Department
of Environmental Management (IDEM) for a regional land
developer.
11 Phase I ESAs
Executed Simultaneously
July 2008
Fort Wayne, Indiana - The SES Phase I team recently
executed 11 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
in Northeastern Indiana for a regional petroleum
company. All ESAs were completed simultaneously
within a two week time frame, allowing the company to
move forward with real estate acquisition.
